DVI injector with FPGA for Audi MMI, BMW CID, Daimler Comand, VW Infotainment

The "GRAPPA GOLD" is a DVI display controller with an integrated FPGA for LVDS and APIX vehicle screens. The FPGA enables the image content to be manipulated and partial areas to be cut out.

The control includes the necessary LIN/CAN control and therefore not only allows operation in parallel to an existing vehicle system, but also the "stand-alone use" of the screen for laboratory operation or similar. The system can optionally be extended with an LVDS/APIX switch. The control unit has a DVI/HDMI interface for feeding in the video data and a CAN interface for controlling the dimming and power management (quiescent current safe).

Thanks to the integrated DDC, the control unit logs on to the PC with the native resolution of the target display - the content of the PC screen is displayed in full resolution on the vehicle screen. In combination with an "LVDS/APIX switch", the screen content can be switched between the PC content and the original content.
